I’ve found myself loving Arkansas culture. Specifically outside of the city (Little Rock). I’ve had to drive to Stuttgart, AR a couple of times for family reasons and couldn’t get enough of the landscape and small towns we would drive through. To add a little bit more nostalgia, I shot these on film (Fuji Pro 400H) with my mother-in-law’s old Nikon FG.
(And yes, I still shoot weddings, engagements, etc. and will be posting them in a couple weeks)
My 30th birthday is coming up so my wife bought be an awesome gift…the Mamiya RZ67.
Since I’m new to film, I wanted to use a few rolls as test shots. So I took the camera with me everywhere I went and captured a few frames.
Here’s my life the last couple of weeks.

This has been one crazy winter for Arkansas. I’m still a kid at heart and I’m pretty sure I’ll never get to the point where I hate snow. The more the merrier! Fortunately, my dog loves snow just as much. He’s constantly ringing the bell (we have a bell by the door he rings when he needs to go out) so he can go out and play in it.
I took a few shots yesterday of him in the snow…
Many of you already know, but I once lived in California and made some pretty amazing friends while being out there. We have a tradition of visiting either here or there every year (hopefully something that will always continue). We actually just got back a few days ago from one of these visits.
Many of you also know that I’m horrible at taking pictures while on vacation or really anything from my personal life. I tried to do a better job this time around but I still need some work. I didn’t get a chance to take pictures of all our friends but I did get a few.
:: The first few are from Riverside, CA at the Mission Inn ::
:: We then went to visit some of our best friends in the Huntington Beach area ::
