Midwest Caravan/Falcon Scott/Futuro Boots

So this post is WAY behind! Like 6 months behind! Either way, it’s finally on the blog.

This had to be one of the most fun shows I’ve been to in a really long time. That may be because I’m pretty good friends with everyone in these bands, but either way we had a blast! This is something I’m not use to shooting so this was good for me to stretch some skills and learn a few things. Here are a few images!

(and links to the bands’ myspace pages…just click their names: Midwest Caravan, Falcon Scott, Futuro Boots)

No Shoe For You!!

(bonus points to the person who gets the joke in the title)

For some reason, my wife and I enjoy taking pictures of the shoes of our clients (I think you can tell a lot about a person by their shoes).  So I decided to dedicate a whole blog post on exactly that.  So enjoy the shoes of this past year!

Northern Arkansas

I recently got back from, what seems to have become an annual tradition with myself and a few of my friends, the Jasper area in northern Arkansas.  We like to go in the winter because most of the cabins are open (too cold for people to float the buffalo river) and, for anyone who is familiar with Arkansas summers, no humidity.

I only took a couple shots and I do realize this is quite different than the rest of my posts, but this is probably my favorite part of Arkansas (even if we almost hit an elk one night).  There’s really no where else like it.

Jamie and Jessica

Here’s another couple I’m quite fond of.  I’ve known Jamie for years (he was a roommate as well) and he’s taught me a lot about a passion for the Lord, faith, and life.  I’m pretty sure this couple could already write a book about their journey (well anyone could when a relationship  starts while she’s in Nashville and he’s in Africa for two years!).  Thank you both for your friendships and you have no idea how stoked I am that I get to take pictures for your wedding…congrats!

Daniel and Anne

Over the last few years, Daniel has become one of my best friends.  He even moved to Little Rock to help start Epoch!  And now he’s getting married (which is quite the accomplishment for Daniel…(I’m kidding Daniel…(but seriously)))!  Here are just a couple shots from their engagement session.  It was around 27 degrees so they were troopers!  Congrats guys! (good luck Anne)

Help-Portrait

This past weekend I had the chance to work alongside a few other photographers here in Little Rock and take pictures for families in the area. It was a part of a world-wide push called Help-Portrait to get photographers to give their talent and gifts to those who may not be able to afford good pictures of their families. It was the first year for something like this and we had a great turn out for photographers and families!

Here is a quick video that Charlie Roberts put together showing the day’s events as well as a few pictures of the families and children…it’s only a minute long so please watch it!

We had a blast!

We’re still getting some funds together to cover frames and such, so if you’re interested in helping financially to off-set some of this cost…just click the “Contact” tab and send me a quick message!
